Support Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products. (part two)

I have already moved the History and Address book files over by using my PC to copy them to my desktop then copying to the unit instead of using the Dock to backup then replace and so far she is not experiencing any issues
I stand corrected,just talked to her and although she hasn't had a Navi error it has locked up twice when it tries to zoom out to state view when it's set to county view auto zoom.

 

It locked up a few times straight from Richmond (without any extra files on it). Seemed to settle down shortly thereafter.

I did download a few POI's from POI Factory like Home Depot, Lowe's, Blain's Farm and Fleet and a few others. I can delete them and see what happens.

BTW- Thanks again for your help and glad your feeling better... nerve pain is brutal.

 

OK, thanks. The 720 never seemed to have a problem with Hubby being on any of those roads, it just wanted to take him on a scenic tour of the entire area before taking him to his destination.

Both the 510 & 530 have random love affairs with I88 in IL for some reason when passing through.

Today for instance, Pilot south of Ogden,UT to C&S in Hatfield,MA primary route takes I88 from Davenport to downtown Chicago i290-i90-i80.

12mi longer, more tolls, & more Chicagoland traffic....yes please
Sometimes identical except will take i294 down to i80 instead of the i290-90 nonsense.
Most of the time passing through, will route 80 all the way through as it should.

Fastest route
Allow tolls
Allow all roads
Avoid dirt,uturn,& ferry
