Support Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products. (part two)

Sorry, I formulated my question wrong. We didn't have to wait for map updates for two years, we were just given the old maps to start with.

 

Mark, I finally made it in to the house. Got the cards you sent and followed instructions in e-mail. Now it bored back up, but it allows me in Skokie, IL and I live here in SW Oklahoma. Is there something rise I need to do. It is also showing the circle with no GPS at bottom of screen.

 

Update got signal back and it's working, but I can't remember how to change driver information from the default to me.

I just deleted the files in my LOST DIR only had 10 meg. But now my home screen is blank. Lost the start icon for the gps and the atlas and whtever else was on there. After I turned off USB storage I just pulled the cable out. Did that screw it up?

 

It's Android and sometimes for whatever reason the Icons disappear from the start screen,they are just shortcuts to the program.Just go to the app drawer,long press on the app that you want to have a shortcut to and drop it on your home screen.If you have a lot of shortcuts on your home screen and can't remember what they are it's a good plan to take a screenshot when you have your home screen laid out to your liking so if you lose a bunch of icons you can look at it to see which ones are missing.
Some of mine always disappear after an app gets updated,real easy to put them back if you know which ones they are.

 

Ok, I see it works just like a phone but the shortcut created is small like the app icon not huge like what it looks like when it was new. As long as the Truck GPS still works I'm ok for the most part.
