Maybe the original shortcut was a widget, maybe look and see if there is a widget available for that app, this would be larger than just a shortcut icon. Also some icons are able to be resized if you need them to be larger.

Been having some problems recently with my TND 80. Seems to be stuck on last destination, keeps rerouting to it, inspite of hitting next destination. Not able to add VIA points - the tablet just ignores my requests for via points. Also, need to re-enter settings such as warnings, route color, etc. everytime on startup. All Icons seems distorted, as well.
    Could you help, Mark?

For some reason after tuning it back on after being off over night the home screen returned to normal. I don't know why and I don't care just happy it's all back to normal again.

Tom also says "Proceed to the highlighted route" - at least on the TND-720 that we have.

The SD card that we put into the TND-720 for the first map update was an Ultra Plus, and as far as we can tell, there have been no problems with it, even through the second map update. The 720 does not freeze, or crash, or have any of the other problems that I've seen on here. Could it be that we have just been blessed with no problems? Should we replace it, if we can still find a non-Ultra card? We had a hard enough time finding this card around here.....

Try pressing the reset on the top of the tablet. You will need a paper clip. Hole is small. It should have not done that if you only deleted the files out of the .lost Dir.

If that does not fix it, I have the Flash OS micro SD Cards.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Can you post a pic? I could send you the OS flash Micro SD Cards to see if that will help.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I can guarantee you have corrupted DCA files in the NaviMaps. You will need to replace it and then I will have to tell you how to "fake" the 720 into doing the map update again via the Dock.

Start a conversation with me when you get the correct card.

Again, the x10 and the x20 models - the hardware will not read the Ultra type cards correctly.

    Thanks,

In going back and rereading this post, I have come to the conclusion that the reason why our TND-720 hasn't frozen, crashed, or had any of the other weirdness associated with containing an Ultra micro SD is because I have not run diagnostic and repair on it. There was never a need for it. I figure if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I have ordered a new non-Ultra micro SD card, and when it gets here from the other side of the earth, I'll likely have to call on you, Mark, for help with the switchover. I have the PDF that you attached to your post, but until I actually try it I won't know if I can do it myself. Anyway, thanks for the heads-up about this. Hopefully Hubby won't have to go without his 720 for any length of time. And thanks for all you do on this forum!

It has nothing to do with anything with doing a D/R off the Dock. Simply the x10 and x20 models cannot read the new format put in place on the Ultra cards. It will write to the Card, but since the hardware cannot read it correctly it will cause issues. Your DCA's (map regions) will become corrupted and if you do not travel in those map regions that have the files corrupted you will not see errors.

    Thanks,
    Mark
