OK, thanks for the information. I'll watch this thread to see what else is done to bypass problem areas.
Yeah Mark, I did notice an exit that was not correct on the northwest portion of 485. May I ask how often the updates are released?
Thanks

I personally don't want the unit to nag me to turn around and go back to the original route for as long as it takes for the mileage and or time it takes for the two routes to equalise,it will nag you at every road or overpass along the way and is very annoying.

You can add via points to "force" the route you want, but normally that is done for route that the user wants to use and not what the TND shows. Yours is an easy fix since you are just using the loop around and ending back on the same route.

One other option is to use GoogleMaps, zoom in to about exit 4, but leaving the "point" on the freeway. Right click, what's here, and get the Lat/Long. Use the Lat/Long as your Via point since this is an actual point on the freeway and not on an exit.

You can also scroll on the screen to a part of 485 that you want to add as a Via, place the "x" on the road, zoom in all the way to make sure you are on the right part of the freeway, at the bottom it should show "add as via".

 Thanks,
 Mark

Set to 3 nags, before it will recalculate.

 Thanks,
 Markarchangelic peon Thanks this.

Must be a new function as my 720 used to nag the hell out of me until the remaining mileage evened out.

Always only been 3 since the B models...

Then mine must not have worked properly cause I can remember it nagging me to turn around for miles and miles till I just turned the speaker off and ignored it till it showed the proper route that I was on.Now I just automatically put in Via's to get away from the nagging LOL.Mark Kling Thanks this.

You may have kept changing the route from what it kept recalculating on, so each time you changed route the flag would reset to nag you 3 more times.

 Thanks,
 Mark

GPS humor, who would have thought?

Believe if you turn off "Fast Recalculate" it will do a full recalculation every time you venture off route instead of the 3 nags then recalculation.
Might cut down on the daily nag count.

Which exit? Map updates - yearly.

 Thanks,
 Mark
