Likewise for me, except that mine took a little under 2 hours - woohooo!

Mark, is there any word yet on what changes were made, other than new maps (if any)?

Mark, I forgot the instructions for transferring my POI's from an old unit to a new unit. Could you provide the steps please. Second, bought a recon 730, it has been working intermittently for the last week. Should I try to repair the files from RM Dock or....? Thanks

Just move the Navi/User files/folders and the RM/User files/folders from the old unit to the new unit.

    Define intermittently..

    Thanks,
    Mark

Mark, I have the unit at the house. It won't even connect to the dock and Windows 10 says it can't see it. This was a refurb I bought from the RM website. It will turn on and everything comes up on the screen. I connected a new 730 I have and it connected to Dock right away

I do have a way, the old DOS way to get your files off the old unit... it will require an SD Card... does not have to be a big one.. I normally use a 500mb one.

Micro SD Card will have an .exe on it, insert, unit boots up into the shell. Then you just have to work your way around the directories and copy/paste...

You are using the RM USB cable correct?

The old unit is what model?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Says "USB" device not recognized". Using a brand new RM cable. I would just really like to get my fuel miles and gallons off of the malfunctioning unit and turn this one in for warranty.

Start a Conversation with me. I will have to send the .exe via Hightail. E-Mail's will strip it off.

Once you have it I will have to call you and walk you through the directories.

    Thanks,
    Mark

And do you just copy and paste the custompoi.db file ?
