Support Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products. (part two)

Copy the Navi/User and the RM/User off the old one and paste to the new one.. Suggest you copy/paste to Desktop that way you have the files you need stored on your desktop.

Couldn't find the specific thread for RM, so I'll post here. I had a map update, went to update and said it had 64 missing files. Went to repair itself and it keeps repairing the same files over and over again. What could be the issue? Had SD CARD 32GB inserted but took it out. Would love someone's help. Thanks!

 

Why not just call tech support? Number is on their website...
Or reset the unit to factory default, and retry installing the updates?

 

I have tried factory resetting it. Tech support isn't open till Monday and I gotta use it now...not wait till Monday. If anyone knows what the issue could be, It would save me some hassle

 

If your maps are loaded on the SD card then the unit won't properly work without it.

When you mean "keeps repairing itself" do you mean that it's in an endless loop or does it finish and say repaired?

Please re-enter you post on the above link. I am trying to keep the RM threads down to a very minimum so I don't have to post the same information over and over in a multitude of threads.

 

Maps do not download to the SD Card. You can push Apps and the Dash Cam to the SD Card.

I am writing up a step by step procedure which will be posted here shortly.

Sorry for not looking harder. Stressing out on something you depend on over half the time makes you not follow steps haha
