Support Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products. (part two)

Hey mark here's something that's been popping up more and more... each time I go home approximately 2.5-3 weeks I plug in to check for updates etc... it goes thru it's process I "eject" the hardware as per windows... get back in my truck to head back out and it still shows once it's powered on that it's connected to my pc... I'll have to unplug it to get it to power off plug it back in to load then goes to "connected to pc" does this a few times with unplugging and plugging back in before it will finally kick into gps mode... only stock cables are being used on a dedicated 12v 10a supply from truck... being a 720 she's an old girl but still a good girl... I'd like to keep her around as long as possible but it's not looking too good right now...

 

I'm always in Louisville... brand new RM USB cord and charger... does it on both...

I was able to finally get the dock program running again. I deleted the cache file in the hidden appdata folder and it is working again. Now just need to get the screen fixed so I can start using it again.

 

Is there a way to install apps to a TND 70?

 

You can install most "free" apps to any Android device but you need to be computer savvy, it's called "sideloading". You can find instructions on how to do this on the Net.
