I am not putting you off, but expressing your thoughts here about a business decision that is beyond my control would just lead to back and forth posts. Call RM CS where they keep tracking of customer issues at a higher level.

I will post info in a few days on the 740.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Perhaps i shouldn't mention this here but i remember when my 710 crashed as a result of some kind of map licensing deal. I had purchased the lifetime updates for that unit and Rand McNally actually gave me what they called a refurbished 720 to replace it for free since i paid for the updates. I had already bought a 720 so i gave the free one to my son in law..lol

I will be watching for the info on the 740...

    Thanks again...

IMG_4484.JPG So this has been happening more & more on my TND720.

All the settings are correct but it just will not calculate some routes.

    They routes are legal.

    Any ideas what's happening?

Yes, map corruption on the DCA's which are regions in the Map Database.

Start a conversation with me and give me your Name/address (no po boxes), phone/email and I will send you an updater card to fix the maps you have.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I also forgot to ask,,, what kind/size of SD Card are you using?

It should only be a 8gb or 16gb, class 4-10, with a "C" around the class (number) on the card. If it is bigger than 16gb or has an "U" around the class it is the wrong card and will cause your issues.

It can be corrected with the right SD Card and "faking" the Dock out to download the maps again.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Remember the TND-740 is the next generation of TND, not Tablet. Therefore it does not have a browser capability.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Is there nothing I can do for my low audio.

And why are some streets not found. I tried routing to Airlie Pkwy in NC and the street doesn't show
Used Google maps to get lat and longitude and it routed me there just fine.
