Ok, thanks. I figured since Loves has already allocated shelf space, price tags and advertising space in this months flyer, it was available. I guess they jumped the gun a bit.

Hey, Mark, I have a TND730. I love the thing, mostly, but the crappy mini-USB port has gone bad on me. For awhile, I could get it to work by putting the cable in one spot, or another, but that no longer works. I've done some searching, but haven't found anything good on a fix for this. I'm out of warranty, so I popped the case open to see if the solder joints might have worked loose. It appears to be SMD and the port is solid on the board, but it seems the contacts inside the port itself are the issue. Any ideas? I am assuming it'll have to be sent in.

Yeah I was coming on here to ask about the OverDryve device...

@Mark Kling can you guys please create an ability to set up single stop and multi stop trips right in your phone then beam the whole trip to the GPS?

I spent 430 bucks on the dezl 770 and that thing is so #### clunky. Traffic doesn't work. Pairing with the phone was a struggle. Can't even set up a route using their app. The sidebar information is customizable to show a bunch of different things but if the device recalculates it resets the items I configured for the sidebar. Calculating a route is insanely slow. It doesn't actually tell me when I arrive like my Rand. Setting up a route in the device is clunky too compared to the streamlined way Rand does it.

The only features I want from Rand are:

    * the ability to set up a route in my phone, as well as saving the routes and being able to view and edit saved routes.

    * there was something else but I got distracted and now I can't remember

Hello Mark, I was able to get my issue resolved with the fix you sent me. Though if someone else has the same problem make sure to advize them to format the SD card if they have one as I couldn't get it to work for me after multiple attempts until I formatted the SD card.

Thank you so much for your help!

The 730 does not require an SD card. If you have one please remove it. The maps should be internal on the x30 models.

    Thanks

Im just jumping in here, so this may be an old question

I have a TND 730. I just bought it @ month ago brand new from Best buy. already it has frozen on me a dozen times. the first few - low memory. i called and learned that i needed to turn the unit off every 24 hrs so it didn't run out of memory. seemed stupid but ok, so i do. Now it still does it.
I went from using Copilot on my tablet, which i liked but got to the point i could trust the routing to buying this. Now at the must inconvenient times its freezing up. WTF??? i know i have to call Rand Mcnally AGAIN but really? anyone having issues?
I would jump back to CoPilot if they would go to Google Maps.

Question: is the big tnd720 still accurate and reliable? Bought one back in 2013.

If you got lifetime maps with it, it will be as accurate as the last map update. As for reliability, mine has never given me trouble but only you know how reliable yours has been.

Tripmaker is what you are looking for, although you will not be able to use it on your phone and "pass" the trip to your TND.

    Thanks,
