I checked in this forum and elsewhere on the internet, but I could not find any technical specifications on the new Overdryve 8 Pro. Specifically want to know the differences between it and the older TND 80, to see if it may be worthwhile upgrading. Any info would be helpful.

Well Tried Tech Support on the Traffic again - No Help
They don't seem to know how to get it to show me an Alternate Route. They tell me its NOT supposed to auto reroute you based on traffic, but mine did twice, while on the phone with them.
and no idea still how to manually request a alt route.
So basically the Traffic on the 740 is useless at this point till someone figures out how it supposed to work..

    > Also separate Question -- Anyone have a guess as to how long it takes for RM to do a map update for correcting info?

I'm thinking I should wait before dropping $400 on the 740 and continue with my 720 for now.

I am finding that I can run Google maps along with my 720 and have everything I need.

I basically use the 720 for planning my day anyway and not getting me to a destination until I have verified it on Google satellite along with customers directions.

If I didn't have any truck specific GPS then I would buy the 740 but to simply upgrade I don't believe it is absolutely necessary at this time.

There is a use traffic setting on the route tab in the settings, also is the traffic button green in the live data area? And is the 740 connected to wifi while driving

Mark, have you gotten your hands on the new Overdryve Pro yet?
I have a HUGE problem with it. In every iteration of RM GPS's from the 700 to the 730 and the Tablet 70, I could click on a road on the map and add it as a via point, or route to it. With this stupid Overdryve I cant. I can click on the road, which isnt easy anymore the way its set up. It highlights the road but theres no routing options.
WTF? Without that, this thing is nothing but an oversized paperweight. Please tell me theres a way around this or that it will be fixed. I dont want to think I wasted $600.00 on this thing.

Help, help I really need help! I have a Rand McNally Intelliroute TND 730. I was updating a POI. It was to the point that I had restarted with it just plugged into the power not my laptop. We had a brown out. It said not to unhook from the power. But it lost it anyway. Since then it has just been power cycling constantly. I cant get it to start again. I don't know what got corrupted. Please help!
I tried running diagnostic and repair but that didnt resolve the issue...
