One word you keep saying - "click", are you tapping once on the screen or doing a Long Press for about a second?

    Thanks,
    Mark

I hope this is one of those "dohhh" moments because i was also interested in learning the answer to this.
I am getting ready to buy one and I like seeing all these issues come up and the way Mark solves them.

so the difference between a tap and click is how it's touched, kind of highlighting a link for a copy and paste instead of a click, and a double click does what?

On the tablets the software is written to take advantage of the Android OS. Long Press. Press on screen for about a long second and another screen will appear with options

    Thanks

Okay. The UI for the 70/80 tablet you tap, the UI for the 540/740/OD 8 (pro) you long press to get another feature screen.

I had to verify again with the developer since I am still waiting on my OD 8.

    Thanks

Let us know how the OD-8 pro stacks up when you get one. It has some very nice features but I would be interested to know-
1-Is the dash cam lens adjustable or are you limited where you mount the unit.
2-Is there an expansion slot for memory that can be used solely for the dash cam, as this would be a must have for me to spend that kind of $$$ on this unit and what operating functions does the cam have.
There is very little info on the RM web store as to tech specs and user functions.
    Thanks
    John

Alright, I finally found an OD8 in Upper Sandusky, dropped $44 in cash after points. Happy freaking camper.

Setup was a breeze. No issues connecting to wifi or anything. I do have a couple questions though.

    1) IN the setup process there's a lengthy video that plays to show you the features the OD8 has. Can this be deleted after setup, or will the D&R see it as a missing file and replace it?

    2) Where is the Google Play Store?! First things I wanted to put on here was Gmail and Hangouts since it has a front facing camera now.

    3) Additionally I'm not seeing any other GApps like Gmail etc. Why?!

    4) The Camera app is primitive at best. I'm not expecting anything special at all, but where are the actual settings that typical android camera apps have? Literally the only 3 things I have found are the Take Photo button, a gridlines button, and the flip camera button. Nothing more.

I am about to transfer my data from my TND80, gonna add to this thread with what I ended up doing.

Sure you don't want to let me borrow your OD8 Pro?

1-4 I have to ask RM...

Give me a few to write a procedure for tablet to tablet.

    Thanks,
    Mark
