Support Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products. (part two)

Mark, ran thru about 50 pages the other night looking to see if there would be any more map updates for the 720 or not also bought the wrong sd card way back when we first needed them and was planning on buying the correct one if there was a new map update,

> Quick Update here - I have seen, only a very few times, a little green box pop up on the left side of my screen that says (something to the effect) "Alternate Route Available" If i press on it the 740 automatically changes the route, it doesn't tell me what the route is before hand, just changes it.
Also 3 times now, i swear the 740 has changed my route while en-route for no apparent reason and it didn't ask just did it.
I really hate to say this, but so far the whole Live Traffic thing on the 740 is totally useless. RM screwed it up royally from the 730. I know its android based which SHOULD give you more options not less. I mean on my S8 phone Google maps will "Offer" me a different route and even show it to me and then i choose. that's android based.
So what in the world happen on the 740 from the 730???

on the 740 there seems to be no such options. Heck i can't even tell when there is a traffic issue unless i see the road color be red, then i have to try and figure out the alternate route, that's not helping.
why is the 740 with LIVE Traffic not seeing the traffic and then offering me an alternate route and LET me CHOOSE IF i want to go that way based on MY choice.

HI Mark,
Been having a little trouble with TND 720.
When I route after a few minute this screen comes up.
It will a different area than where I'm at.
The route will still be going in the background but will not let me return to route screen. I've try'ed reset and diagnostics an repair. It also will not let me download current mileage files.
