Mark, I have a 720. I purchased a 530 and without fail it will freeze up daily. Sometimes it will freeze if I'm in a major city and it might unfreeze itself after 15-30 minutes. Or it will make a loud ding noise and a gray box will pop up in the middle of the screen saying there was some type of application error and I have to power it down then back on. I've about had it with this unit. My question is do you think my 720 will ever get the newest software, like where I can have different themes like on my 530? I really do like the carbon theme. Thanks.

I don't think they will run the themes on the 520/720. The next version/maps are due out in Jan from what I have been told.

Are you running any services such as traffic, weather, or fuel?

Have you updated it since you have gotten it?

    Thanks,
    mark

Why hasn't Rand upgraded the maps for the 720 in over a year. What good is getting lifetime maps if they come out with a new unit before a map upgrade? This is unacceptable.

And it still needs to be brought to the front as it is unacceptable.

Mark, I have a question about an issue with my TND 720 that does not happen with my TND 510, both of which are about 3-4 years old and updated regularly.

Quite simply, when I charge the 720 at home using a wall plug, the green 'fully charged' light never comes on; I only ever see red or orange. It does come on fairly quickly with the 510 (even when the battery power is very low) and eventually does when I use the 720 in a truck, but it can take more than 24 hours.

    Any suggestions or input? Thanks.

Is there anyway to upgrade the unit with a SD card? It appears my USB port will only charge and not sync. I will pay for the files, I would just like a updated GPS.
