    Supporting the Good Brokers
I know some of you reading this will say that is an oxymoron. But we need to be real and understand that there are accounts that the logistics will not allow them to work direct and it is much cheaper for them to work with brokers. And unless you are one the unluckiest O/O’s in the world, we have all worked with good brokers.
I have two that I like to work with. So whenever I get poor service from a broker I like to send an email to one of them with as much information as possible.
I have sent at least 20 leads to these guys and last night I got an email thanking me as one of the leads has paid off. This little bit of work will pay off to us all. A load I took at $1225 from the old broker is being offered by the new broker at $1950. And while I don’t know what he is charging he was clear he was able to beat the rates. That is now 25-40 loads a week out of Central IL that we O/O’s can make a living wage on.
So while refusing to haul cheap freight applies some pressure, the added pressure on the other end takes it a step further.

    Blackjack Thanks this.
