    Need help! My TND 500 is freezing up, re calculates very slowly, sometimes for no reason at all.

    I ordered a new car charger for my unit and they sent me one that put outs 1.5amps. Why would they do that if I need 2amps?

    Yes of course I did I also told them I needed a 2amp power supply.

    Good Morning!
    Have been reading your posts with much interest regarding the TND 700. Thank you for the information. Plan to pick up the TND 700 model this week. I note that it has an audio output jack and am wondering if anyone uses or can recommed a wireless earphone that would work with the unit, so the verbal instructions can be heard thru the earphone.
    Look forward to your replies and thank you in advance.

    The audio output works very well. In fact I encourage you to buy backup audio. My internal speaker has already gone bad. Also beware that unlike Garmin Rand McNally DOES NOT and WILL NOT send out a replacement unit and charge your credit card until they recieve the defective unit. You will be out one GPS for 10-20 days until they verify that it is indeed defective. Had I known this I would not have purchased from Rand McNally.

    Try pluging in and external speaker or headset. My interspeaker has already gone bad. Also you may want to read my post on 2/1 concerning their repair policy
