Suppport Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products.

Ditto. How close to thd 710 are the next updates going to bring it. While I have the funds, it's already been set aside for a new 996xt, not yet another gee whiz pnd gadget. This stuff just costs too much to be continuing to buy one every few months. Heck even my laptop stays sort of current over the three years of warrenty I have on it.

"Empty field syndrome" ? Is that an actual GPS related term? Dead on the money as a descriptor though. Course there are a few office types where I drive that could be described as such.

Back to topic...here is hoping you're righg about the ability to see the whole route though there is a work around on the current unit, it's just a little cumbersom.

i just got my iPhone 4 from Verizon, the iPhone 5 is on the way.....

 

Does the new 510 and 710 use the same usb power plug?

 

Well I wonder if the next big software update is going to allow the new things in the 710 to be added to the 700, or if the 700 will just be a thing of the past?

Mark I hope you are feeling better and that you can answer some of these questions on 700 and 710 and if a software update will give the 700 owners the same new features that the 710 has??

The rand mcnally tnd 500 was a total waste of money! In other words a
p o s!
Ive had two the original that never worked ! The one that rand replaced it with!
Sent me a unit with no gps at all even said it on the screen! No gps!
Very pissed! They need to exchange my unit for a new unit that works!!
Bottom line is rand mcnally will gladly take your money and not support there product .
Leaving you with an expensive paper weight ...
