I have the tnd 700. I have a blown speaker, I have no reason to warranty it, I want to plug a external cb speaker into the headphone jack, but my plug is a 2.5mm, and the cb speaker is 3.5mm. Is the RM a stereo or mono output, it matters when ordering the adapter.

The CB speaker if it does not have an internal Amp, the TND may not be able to drive it...

    checking on mono or stereo.

    Thanks,

the tnd output is 2.5 watts, as long as its a high impedance speaker, should be ok. if not, ill just deal with 0 volume

That is from the Internal Amp to the internal speaker. Most audio outputs are less and usually have 100ohm resister on the outputs so the external sound source is not over driven such as headsets.

    update -

According to the schematic, it is a stereo output. E's and 10s are line level outputs whereas Bs and Cs were speaker level

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Mark,

Do you have any issues running and set up 710, on the Mac book Pro, I would like to get a new GPS unit, only if it works on a Mac. I just basically give up on Windows and all its problems that come with it. :biggrin_25519:
