Set it to 13'7". Rand found a issue in some code calculations that would not allow you under certain 13'6" bridges or tunnels. It has been fixed on the Beta side.

    Thanks,
    Mark

This is for those that find their unit mapping them to diff directions for no reason!
I have found that the detour feature on an a to b trip is very useful, especially for a traffic backup. But I also noticed that the TND does not always remove these detours when it recalculates a new route c to d going on the same route, even though I had selected cancel detours. I had to reboot to a clean map after the detour cancel to get the tnd to route me straight across the interstate. Sometimes I would go back to the particular map section route to cancel the detour. Unit needs a cancel all detours button. Better remember your map selection detours so you can go back and cancel them!

What will it do in states where the legal height is 13' 6" if I do this?

It is not widespread. Only a few issues in a few area's. you can try 13'5" also... but then you will not be routed under 13'6" overpasses.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Do ya'll feel the requirement for me to start another Thread dedicated only to features and how-to on the TND? No support - that will stay on this thread.

Just basically a landing zone for me to explain features and answer questions on how to use or find features.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    A good question.

My first thought on this is why is this information not in the user manual?

It is. On the TND Dock on the upper right is the manual button. You can save it to your computer as it is a PDF File.

How many people actually sit down and read the manual? It is about 140 pages.

    Thanks,
    Mark
