    Although I was not the Bechtel you were thinking of, your diagnosis and suggestion was quite helpful to me. It seems to be working ok now with the power issue resolved. I gingerly bit the mini USB a bit to tighten it up and all seems to be well. Thanks again.

    I also have one that is doing the same thing, and getting worse, they should fix it or tell me how. I sent a message to them on tell RM but have not heard back

    Try creating a little strain relief on the charger cord. If the entire weight of the cord and charger are hanging off of the connector, youre going to have trouble with it.

    I will only say that a 710 is back up on my dash since this isn't the thread for Garmin's issues. PM me and I tell you my thoughts. Has a lot to do with Atlanta.

    Any way you can impress upon RM to make that traffic reciever available in the truckstops? I could order one direct but it would be months before I actually could retreive it from my mail.

    Good idea. Try taping part of the cord to the mounting stand-say around two inches back from the connection point to the device-allowing just a little slack between the connection point and the tape.
