I was really happy to purchase my T510. I waited a whole year before picking one of these units. Been watching since the 500's. I'm afraid to say that it has routed me down restricted roads at least 4 times in the last two months. Either weight restricted or truck restricted. Also couldn't find the address to 3 stops. One in GA the other in LA and one in Jacksonville FL. Luckily I was able to use my phone and google navigation had the addresses listed.
I guess I was too trusting. When I was using my phone and the Garmin I've never been in that situation so I was quite surprised when I was routed down those restricted roads by this unit.
I do love the mileage export though.

Home to work route using street names:

Terra Cotta Dr SE, Dutton, Michigan 49316
    68th Street SE
    Hanna Lake Ave SE
    60th St SE
    E Paris Ave SE
    52nd SE
    Patterson Ave SE
    36th SE
    Kraft Ave SE 49512

The error message I get using "truck" function is:

"No truck or car-legal route could be found! Either there is no road connectin available between your origin & destination, or your settings for weight, height, etd., in Truck Info need to be changed." The only way to get a route is to go into "car" mode, which works fine. This error message is a recent popup, too.

    Mark Kling Thanks this.

There is an “all trucks prohibited” on E Paris Ave SE between 52nd St SE and 60th St SE.

    Thanks,

Thank you, Mark. Since that is only one way to get from Point A to Point B, I am surprised that the unit does not compute another legal way, even if it adds miles to the trip. Instead, it says there are no truck OR car-legal roads, which is not true.

There could be restrictions on other roads that are in line with this route.

Send me a private PM with the actual house numbers.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    explain this one

me and a friend are sitting side by side at the same table and routing the same trip, both of us have 710's and check and we both have all the setting's the same (fastwst route, tollways allow, freeways allow ect) his route was 1 mile shorter and 10 min longer than mine....?

start was 3100 van slyke rd. flint, mi.
end was 2400 w. 2nd st. marion, in.

the reason we checked then side by side was the day before when we were going up I-57 in IL they both wanted us to turn onto I-70 and that way was not the way we were going to go BUT after we kept going north on I-57 his changed to show going up to I-80 then east to I-94 (the way we were going to go) but for the next 100 + miles mine kept wanting me to turn around and go back to I-70......? at one point it wanted me to go 198 miles out of the way before it changed to go north to I-80

Did you compare Truck info? Do you have avoids or detours in place? Not from this route, but from other routes you may have added. Some detours are permanent depending on how you select detours.

    Thanks,
    Mark

we had both units sitting side by side and check ALL the setting (truck, route and device)and they were all the same

i have never put in a detour or avoid and he doesn't know how to

on the route today MINE had me come south on I-69 and take exit 64 and go west to the finish, HIS had him go south on I-69 and take exit 73 go west on country rd. 1100 then south on IN-37 then west on 2nd st. to finish....?

Hard to say.. PM me the start/stop locations and let me see how it runs here.

Are you two on the same versions?

How it routes you has a lot of variables. Hardware and software.

    Both are 710's?

    Thanks,
    Mark
