Do they do the same thing on AC - house power cord?

Screen going blank is an indication of the screen not getting enough power. The 510 does draw 1amp. Make sure you are using the enclosed DC Cord.

I do not deal with refunds, only support. For refund questions you would have to contact Rand Support directly.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Ok, I plugged my 710 into my computer and it shows connected on the device. Where is the TND dock?

A driver friend was pulled over in NE and asked to bring in his Garmin, after which the DOT matched his Garmin logs to his paper logs. He passed just fine. I use the 510--very impressed with the improvements over the 500--but wonder whether I can erase the log files & avoid that kind of scrutiny. I know about the displayed log information via the "Trucker Info & Logs" tab, as well as the 1,2,3 tabs on the Dashboard: does resetting these also erase the log files that may not be displayed? Thanks for the info.

I have mine set NOT to log on and off duty time so I dont have that worry.
But if they actually did this I cant see it holding up in court as the GPS unit is NOT an EOBR. If that happened to me I would contact OOIDA about it.

When you go to take a shower, plug into the outlet in the shower room. Let it charge a little, press the reset and see if it turns on.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Does the computer see it as an external device?

Start menu, computer - look for an external drive called IntelliRoute and should have a Navi, RM, Navimaps, and NaviVoices.

    Thanks,
    Mark

The TND - Models, T5B/T5C/T5E/510/T7C/T7E/710 are not EOBR's as they do not meet the requirements set forth by DOT (see link above). They are considered for personal use only. DOT should not use any display for records.

The RVND - Models 5510/7710 are not EOBR's as they do not meet the requirements set forth by DOT.

The TND - TND-760 does meet the requirements and is an EOBR.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Any display that shows mileage/time/locations can be deleted or changed.

    Thanks,
    mark
