My company(Roehl), has a terminal in Gary, IN at 6700 W. 15th Ave. When ever i come off the 915 and turn right onto 15th Ave, my GPS tells me that this is not a truck route and ends up clearing the entire route i had input. It is funny that it thinks it is not a truck route since Schneider is also on 15th Ave.
My question is, how do I get a small portion of 15th Ave noted as a truck route so that my GPS can route me there and wont keep wiping out my routes. I usualy have to turn it off when i am close to turning onto 15th Ave, but if i forget, i lose my route.

I was able to route to it at 33k and 80k. There might be a restriction in place that has been corrected in the 2012 (in testing) maps.

I will forward up to Rand to see if they can see the restriction.

What is your serial number off the back of your TND and have you updated to 2011 maps?

    Thanks,
    Mark

that is something that i HATE nothing like having it do that when your 3-5 miles away and no place to stop and re-enter everything......!!!! that realy need to be changed so it will keep the stop/finish set so you find them, this needing to stop and re-enter everything is on a good day a pain

That is what's kept me from buying one so far. I was real close to picking one up today, but after reading posts where the unit will do this, I've held off. To me, $300 is somewhat of a large investment. I don't want something where I will constantly need to re-enter data because it will not retain it.

Thanks for that info. I'm still leaning towards picking one up. There's a couple of TS near me. What I've found is their prices are no higher than what I've been able to find online.

Rand looked at the route and no restrictions are in place.

What is your serial number off the back?

Connect to the TND Dock, top row, 3rd from left, info button - bottom row of pop up will tell you map date and version of software you are on.

I am wondering also. You are able to route to this location. "If" their was a truck restriction in place then it would not route you and tell you this. You are saying you turn off "915", in our routing it shows coming off "912". Once in route it should give you a "red" warning at the bottom of the map screen if you are in a route. It does not delete your route.

    Thanks,

I drive for Roehl as well. My TND 500 T5E serial # B03T5E983579 routes me from Dwight, Il. to I-80 exit 6 Burr St. north to W. 23rd, west to Colfax St., north to W. 15th Ave., west to 6700 W. 15th Ave. Burr St. is truck restricted north of 25th past the truckstops. When i take 912 to exit 9, as soon as I turn right onto W15th Ave. It gives me the truck restriction warning at the bottom of the screen. If I tap the red warning while on the road it will cancel the entire trip. If I go to the terminal and come back out without touching the screen until I get back to 912 heading toward I-80 the trip does not get cancelled.

You are on 2/19/11 maps. The restriction on W15th street has been corrected in later maps.

Rand is looking at the restriction on Burr St past 25th.

We are looking at the canceling of the route when you tap on the red warning. It should not cancel the route, but have the red warning disappear.

    Thanks,
    Mark
