hmmm,,for two years my tnd 500 has done me great service,,and ive been a supporter and advocate of them,,,however,,,in the last three months my unit is going "batty",,and refusing to stay on route or allow me to reach a destination using its guidance,,,,,,,,the most problems occur within the last few miles of a destination (curiously when there are a number of complex turns to make). yes my map database is out of date,,however,,,,,the same shippers and receivers and the same routes are being used that it formerly calculated perfectly,,and most of the problems occur on highways/interstates that have not had any geographical changes in many years,,,,what gives kimosabe'??? am i being forced by a neatly installed "glitch" in the programming to buy the 89.00 map update? or is the unit just designed to be useless after a couple of years,or is it possible that the unit needs to be hit very very hard (and often) with a large blunt object?

You are on the latest SW version?

And one thing that always seems to be a hassle
When in route to a location Sioux falls, SD from Tupelo. Ms Via St Louis
when I search for a truck stop on my route, TA Concordia
it tells me to go to the next exit get off and go south to the next exit and take the exit and bypass the route I am taking...
Also stopping at an exit/ truckstop on the route and then recalculating provides you with a different route than the one you had been talking minutes before.
