What's a recommend cable should I buy? The cable that came with it sucks and fall out after every tiny bump. So I bought another one and that makes the entire unit act crazy, turning the screen dark, won't turn on sometimes, also it lies and say I have a full charge when I know I don't.

Big congrats to Rand Mcanally for finally doing an actual customer satisfaction survey and in true RM fashion the survey is a POS. A few questions the first questions are a scale of 1-3 is 1 bad or is 3 Bad. The next are 1-5 and again no idea which one to choose. Lastly, it asks about using iPads and iPhones but don't try to use either to fill out said survey it won't work. Does RM research or test anything before release?

Right above the columns are the details, from left to right

    Highly important:
This is very helpful to me

    Somewhat important:
Nice, but not a key feature I value

    Not important:
I don't need this, or get info elsewhereFind Nearest Truck Services: towing, tire, wash, and mobile repair services

I see the column headers on my I-Pad and I am able to mark the selections.

I also tried on my wife's I-Phone and I see the survey and I am able to choose the selections.

    Thanks,
    Mark

    5" requires a 1000mA or 1amp DC Cord.
    7" requires a 2000mA or 2amp DC Cord.

You will not find the 2amp cord at truckstops. I suspect you have the 7". What is the serial number off the back?

    Thanks,
    Mark

well,,latest update,,,unit is functioning correctly about 80% of the time now, still gets a little buggy in some areas but it is far better off than it was a few weeks ago, same problems as before but to a lesser extent,,is there anything left to try that we haven't already done? or should i box it up and mail it to you/rm and let you take a crack at it?

Is it just routing issues or power issues or both?

    Thanks,
    Mark
