On the main screen with no DC or AC connected you will see a battery icon about mid screen near the top.

AC - 3 hours to charge to green light.
DC - 6-8 hours to charge to green light.

Do you have your receipt still? E-Mail me with the details.

    Thanks,
    mark

Has the light ever turned green after 3 hours on AC?

Have you ever called Rand support?

    Thanks,
    mark.

Hey how's it going Mark, quick question that I'm sure has been answered somewhere in this monster thread. Would adding a micro sd card help the performance of my tnd 700? Assuming yes what storage size is recommended and lastly do I need to format it first?

    Thank you!

No, it is reserved for future uses like the Map Data Update Cards.

    Thanks,
    Mark

like the title says, I can't get my laptop(win7x64) to recognize my TND700. it functions alright(here on the yard) but I want to see if it can be updated. In any case, Windows does'nt recognize it, and when I try to install the dock software off the RM site, it doesn't recognize the unit is plugged in to the USB port at the "a device must be connected, etc" screen during install. thoughts, tips or tricks? any help is appreciated.

It has an add on. Make sure it is enabled.

    Tools>>Internet Options>>Programs Tab>>Manage Add ons

Find the Intelliroute in the list and make sure it's enabled.

I have IE9, but yours should be similar.

Javascript has to be enabled also.

Here's what I found on the website...

I also read you can update via the SD card. It sounds like RM sells updated SD cards by the video. Maybe you can update a SD card via your computer and swap it. I would save the old one.

I need to know a couple of things first.

Serial number off the Back of the TND.

Does the TND say connected on the screen when you connect to the computer?

    Thanks,
    Mark
