Can anyone tell me why my TND700 shows the Cheyenne, Wy TA in Nebraska?

    I see the issue now...

It has been fixed on the newest maps in testing.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Well, I am not very happy right now. after having the TND 500, I decided to upgrade to the TND 710 for Christmas. Today the 710 froze up and I could not shut it off, so I had to hit the reset. Now the unit will not even power up, and Rand customer support is closed. I heard that their have been problems with this unit, but I figured I would take a chance since I liked my 500. now I am regretting my decision, and it is too late to be returned. 30 day return policy at TA.

Leave unplugged for 12 hours, charge on AC for 3 hours, turn on, once on press the reset.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I don't know why it is showing the way it is. I have to check on the maps that are for sale, but I know the next set of maps shows it correctly.

    thanks,
    Mark

    That fixed it! Thanks.
Is there a fix to prevent that from happening again? or what can I do to prevent it from happening again?

Sounds like when it was on DC that the DC cord was kind of slack in the USB port. You can gently squeeze the USB end of the DC cord to provide a tighter fit, wrap the DC cord around the mount to help take some stress off the DC cord.

If the DC cord was a little "loose" in the USB port, then the battery was not getting a full charge along with trying to run a HD Screen. Battery probably got below the min and locked the TND up.

Leaving it unplugged for about 12 hours drains the battery and the Charge on AC provides a more stable charging upon a drained battery. Then powering it on and hitting the reset provides a Hard reset on the system.

    Thanks,
    Mark
