Suppport Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products.

Surely its just a coincidence that the newer models get to update first.

 

Hey, I just updated my 710 and now in my turn detail it has all those freaking road construction spots listed. How can I turn that off. It cluters up my turn by turn so bad I can hardly figure out if its routing me correctly.

 

I would think, seeing as it's been over a month since the forced download, that all units should be able to update now. If I'm going to be forced to buy a new GPS, pretty positive I'll be buying a competitors. This lack of support (still no replies to emails) pi$$es me off.

 

Yea, I know about Highway View, but I want to be able to see all the turns, but without the road construction mess. There should be a way to turn it off complately.

 

Good point. I hadn't thought about this one because it has always been the other way around (i.e. "show me the road construction") but now that I think about your post I agree that there could be a button in the settings to turn that on or off. In 3 years of of working with this unit I have never heard someone ask that, but it makes perfect sense, to me anyway.

One good thing about posting it here I guess is that Mark is a direct feed to the right people to get that kind of software change considered. Again, good idea!
