Suppport Thread for the TND 500, TND 700 or future Rand McNally products.

Just confirmed one of my previous posts re;speed limit alerts. I have my alerts set to visual and audio. On the Interstate car peed limit is 70mph,truck is 60mph. if I exceed the truck limit as per my setting the black ball will turn red (still hard to see with sunglasses on) but NO verball warning, that is why I would like to see the ball turned back to white and turn red when you go over the set speed limit. The verbal alerts work below 60mph. but not above, very annoying and could be costly if going through a speed trap. I normally don't speed and it usually happens on a downhill with a heavy load. Anyone else think the black ball with white letters should be a white ball with black letters.

 

Thank you for pulling RM arse out of a fire. We were going to hit every place to complain. People like you keep companys going when they are pis---- off their customer base. So far working. I still believe the 700 has some internal issues.

 

I have my speed limiter set for 5mph. over and am talking about map screen. Sorry thought ball was black as it appears black to me, still very hard to see it turn red, esp. with sunglasses on. Don't have the dashboard feature as it's a TND-700

 

I have my allert set to 5mph over. This is on the map screen as I don't have the dashboard feature, its a TND-700. I would prob use the dashboard feature a lot as I need to keep an eye on my speed esp; in California where they are pretty strict on enforcement and speeding fines for commercial vehicles is pretty expensive. The ball appears black to me, maybe just my old eyes lol.

 

I was just buying the 710 at Amazon, then went to the Rand McNally site to get the sun shade, map subscription, & traffic. Then I saw the new model 720 is out. I was lucky to still be able to cancel the Amazon order, but I can't find the 720 online anywhere. Mark, do you know if is available online yet or when it might be? The new unit looks great. Thanks.
