OK, thanks. I see in a couple of places that it looks like it should be available next week.

thanks for the heads up about the 720 AFTER I GOT A 710 MARK.......! -
Mark,
On the 720, Is the problem with the electrical connector (not charging) fixed?
Thanx -
flood,
Mark didn't say that there wasn't a new unit coming out, he just said he couldn't discuss it until Rand made the information public.Dieselboss, Mark Kling and envayne Thank this. -
As I have mentioned before. I am covered by company policy on releasing any new information about any new models until Rand McNally makes the model public. This is the same with any employee for any company. There are many indicators that a newer model might be coming out. Look for the signs...
Thanks,

The USB port is more solid and so far I have not seen any issues with the USB port. There are a few features like when you disconnect the power cord the TND 720 will go into shut down mode, but a tap on the screen will keep it powered on. There is a "hot" button via the power button. Under Preferences/General/Quick Power Press - you can set what you want the "hot" button to be. So when you are on another screen you simply push the power button for a moment and it will take you back to the screen you have selected to be your "hot" button. On board camera to take screen shots.
The Wi-Fi will connect to home network or any Hotspot. If you having issues connecting let me know. You must have the keyboard in "abc" mode to access the lower case for passwords for the Wi-Fi. This lower case button will be in the lower left of the password screen.
I would also watch if you run it constantly on your Hotspot the minutes used.
Thanks,

Can you confirm if the lifetime maps card and the traffic receiver hardware are not necessary (for the 720) as separate purchases now because they can be purchased when you 'dock' the unit to an online connection? In other words, after I buy the basic unit, can all the add-ons be done online? Thanks
