Wow, that made a dramatic difference, thanks. Why does that work?
This may be a moot point now, but does the upper right part of the screen have something different about it's internal characteristics? I ask because many times during the 'align' process it would stall on the last reference point (upper right) and not continue - I would have to reboot the unit. But about 1/3 of the time it would recognize a touch on that last point and then finalize. Overall, everything seems to be working better now if I use my fingernail - thanks!

Usually when I do a screen alignment I use the tip of a pen (with the ballpoint retracted) or a stylus to hit the "+" a little more accurate. You may have to use a little more (not much) pressure on the screen.
Glad it works..

Mark, can you recommend a fine point stylus? I got a regular stylus at Best Buy, but it seems too soft and blobby (only marginally better than using a fingertip). Then I searched all over Amazon for something more precise and firm like a fingernail but nothing popped out. I see that Rand McNally uses a stylus for some of the other gps units, but I couldn't find it sold separately. Thanks for any tips.

I have verified that the "Am I Close" feature does, indeed, only work when scaling is turned off (just an FYI).
Thanks for all you do!Mark Kling Thanks this.
