For anyone interested in trivia, I was curious what the corporate acronym DAS stands for. After looking around their site, the best I could find is that it was originally "DAve's Stereo".

5" - the 510 is the most current still forthe Rand branded choices. There is no equivalent 5" unitto the 720 at this time.

Incidentally in relation to the above sentence andto when this question comes up in various threads - there is ALWAYS a futuremodel being developed, regardless of what brand or what the product is.

Finally, what camera are you referring to?

Initially, when my route is calculated, it will give ETA based on posted speed limits but I run at 62 mph max but more often at 60. My ETA is constantly updating and I always arrive at destination at the current calculated time showing.

I should have expounded on this a little more... ETA is based upon speed posted, but what you also drive it will adjust accordantly. If you slow down the ETA will adjust knowing now you run is going to take longer.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Im still deciding whether i should germ 710 or 720. After i read couple post that owns 710 had quiet trouble with it. Is that happens all the time?

Even though the 710 is a lower price right now, you seem to be okay with either. I would suggest to go the 720 as the Weather/Wi-Fi is an outstanding feature. You would be able to zoom out and see if any weather is in your route. This would more than helpful in the midwest with high winds and those thunderclouds that seem to just pop up. In the winter you would be give a early warning of snow.

It does not matter to me which you buy, but the Wi-Fi is set for other features in the future. (don't ask and I won't tell).

The 710 seems to be with a slighly loose DC cord on the USB end. Due to the weight of the ferrite bead it tends to pull at the connection unless you support the cord as suggest by DieselBoss.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Data usage test in progress with weather function turned on.

Looks like I'm the only cold one in the country at the moment, lol.

It is in test at this moment using a Verizon Droid X tethered (and not rooted) via Droid hotspot on my data plan.

    As real as it gets.
