Anything missing let me know so we can also add it to the core map database. If you have the Lat/Long then yes you can create your own POI files.

    For reference:

    Address book - Navi/user/addressbook/addrbook.db
    User data - Navi/user/user.ini
    IFTA miles - RM/User/truck.db

    Thanks,
    Mark

I was just being a, uh..intelligent posterior. I don't live and die by mine. I've got the routes in my head for the most part...I use mine mostly for keeping track of how far I have to go to a certain destination. And for listening to Samantha say certain words. She's a hoot sometimes!

Maybe I'm being too hasty in asking this as I was just playing with the unit in the house and it appears that my saved addresses appear as push pins on the map and the rest areas that I wanted to add are on the new maps with the push pins next to them, this feature doesn't seem to be advertised anywhere and is a great feature.

If the rest area's are in your address book then yes they will have a push pin. To turn them on/off go to preferences/map/address book icons - on/off.

I will bring the suggestion up to Rand about not being in the manual.

    Thanks,
    Mark

For those that have a 710 or 720, if you have run off the Dock under Tools/Diagnostics & Repair does it still show the JVI.bin and ZipCode.db as needing repair?

Only if you have done this since June 22.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Will the 720 connect to a subscription wi-fi at truck stops? What I mean is for instance if I purchase a subscription on my laptop from Interstate Speedzone (at Petro) or Wandering Wifi (at Flying J), can I then sign onto that with the 720? Or do those wi-fi providers lock you into the computer or device that you originally signed up on? Thanks

That I will have to check. Rand was working on a way to connect to these HotSpots since they work through a browser log in.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Settings.ini - Rand knows about this file. It is really not in need of repair. File structure or CRC count is the issue. You can ignore this one for now.

    Thanks,
    Mark
