I can feel your pain in this. There is a lot in how the maps are made. I cannot disclose a lot of it. But think of each road as not a whole segment but divided into sections. Each section contains a lot about that part of the road to include speed for cars and trucks. If the truck speed is not shown in the database for that section then Rand does note this and sends in corrections. If you have it set to show Truck only then when you reach a section that is missing the truck speed then the speed does not show on the map screen. Rand is aware of this.
All this is tied to the map database.
There is no quick and easy fix for this.
Thanks,
Mark

Just been setting up my new unit and there is no desthistory.text folder in the navi user folder, so is it ok to just add the one I saved from previous unit or does it need the folder to be present already on the unit
thanks

Mark have a question on a problem I incurred yesterday on I44 in MO from MM 145 to MM 88 west bound.
The highway is not under construction nor has it been for sometime. From those MM's the unit kept saying "proceed to highlighted route" and wouldn't stop. It was showing me north of the interstate out in the fields. I finally hooked up my old unit and compared them together. My old one was showing me on the highway like normal.
After the MM 88 it finally showed me back on interstate and ok. I checked the GPS status and it was showing normal with 10/10. It was clear skies and hot about 6pm. I know something had to be wrong but couldn't understand it. I went to the Tell Rand and marked several times and it wasn't showing me on the highway either. I have to send them in today.
Have any ideas?

Hey mark,
How is the new RM 720 operating? Are there any drivers out there who have purchased the 720? -

I do not know what happened yesterday. I had several testers also show off the Highway and in the fields for a short amount of time. Could be the Big GPS in the sky took a burp.
Let me know if this still continues.
Thanks,
Markghostrunner59 Thanks this.
