Well, I have had my TND 500 for a couple years now and last DEC I purchased the Life Time map upgrades. Here it is July and I have not received a new SD card in the mail. When do the map upgrades become avl?

The disclaimer in the Quick Start Guide gives a warning that all traffic laws and current conditions take precedence over the GPS instructions. I have found myself in situations where you clearly would not take the truck so common sense must prevail. I know sometimes that travel restrictions are not clearly marked or visible so you have to be careful out there.

    Be safe.

So true. I love the 720, but also use Streets & Trips, Delorme, Google maps, and the restricted route list in the front of the Rand paper atlas ... because all that stuff cost less than even one ticket.

Man,I sure hate it when people bad mouth companies for enforcing their policies so that they won't get scammed. There is also no GPS unit on the market that is perfect as the information that it contains can only be as good as the information it receives from numerous sources. To buy something these days and pay cash and get no receipt, then lose the receipt that you never had, come on 27 yr trucker, who u trying to scam here. Those kinds of posts just irk me to no extent so had to reply. Just my 2cents worth.
If you rely on any gps unit 100% you shouldn't be using one as its a tool to be used along with others to get you to your destination in a safe and legal manner.

If you bought last years map update, which came on a sd card you should have gotten it at least 6mo ago as I ordered it and received it a couple of wks after ordering, think in Nov. Better check with Rand and see if they actually shipped you one or even got your order.

LTM - Drivers, I just send a query back to the product manager about this. I wish I had an answer, but this is another department and I have to go to them for guidance for an answer... please bear with me on this. You will probably find out before i do... :biggrin_2556:

    Thanks,
    Mark

What I can say that Rand's reputation is going lower everyday.I registered on the website when I bought the LMU and now besides the fact that I'm not showing as registered anymore it doesn't even show that I ever bought anything from them. What a shame.

Did you use the same computer? If so, E-Mail me your name, address, and serial number of your TND so I can verify in the system.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Rand shows no restrictions on Grizzly Lane, but does show it as a connecting road. A correction has been sent in for this to correctly name this road.

    Thanks,
    Mark
