I noticed an ad for the TND720 on page 37 of the June 2012 issue of Landline magazine.
The bottom strip of the display screen of the TND720 had a weather feature and it read: "Forecasted precipitation intensity and type".
What I want to know is this what the real unit actually displays or was this a digital graphic mock-up for the magazine ad?
Because ................ "forecasted" is not a word. The past tense of forecast is forecast. So who is the illiterate dummy here, the software programmers or the ad agency?
It sure doesn't look good for RMcN products.
I'm just a stupid truck driver and I find it ridiculous that folks have such trouble with the language they've been using their whole life. -

You're correct! http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/forecast_2
Well, I said I'm a stupid truck driver!
Although "forecasted" is correct wouldn't you want to use the shorter "forecast" on a display as small as seven inches?
Forecasted sounds like something that would come out of Justin Wilson's mouth though.
"He done did forecasted the weather and it did gone rained tomorrow." -
Thanks,
Mark -
Since we are on the Weather topic... If you have the 720 and when you click on the Weather Icon (Map Screen), on the bottom left you will see an image of a map and a slide bar... use this to control the transparency of the weather overlay at night.
Thanks,
