No firm date yet on the map update... what area are you "off roading"?

    thanks,

I would say off hand that the DC cord is shorted. Contact Rand Support about this.

    thanks,

It is a voltage regulator... it takes 12vdc and drops it down to 5vdc.. If you are needing one on the road just look for one that has 5 pins in the USB end and provides 5vdc @ 1000ma (1 amp).

    Thanks,
    Mark

Car speed. If the truck speed is different than the car speed you will not get an warning. You will get the "speed limit" icon going red. If the car/truck are the same, then you will get a warning. Car speeds are in the map data set for all segments.

Even though we know CA is 55mph for trucks, the issue lies within the map data. Roads in the map data set are build in segments and this would have to be entered in each segment.

Map data sets are not 100%.

    Thanks,
    Mark

This might be a stupid question, but why couldn't Rand set the unit up where the user can program in the the Truck speed limit?

The idea has been entertained, but in a different view... allowing the driver to set their max speed and warn off of that speed. This is still in the thinktank..

    Thanks,

Thought as much but wasn't sure if that included like state highways.

Just a note- major difference in navigaton between [allow all] and [prefer freeways]. Going to play with [avoid small roads] on the next trip. This has gone a long way to more control over routing and I'm glad to see it. Also means the user needs to be more involved in the planning because of the options available
