Launched dock today before contacting Rand as per your E-Mail and the map update was there. Tried to download but dock keeps hanging, not sure if it's an internet problem or dock problem.Only half of the file appears to be downloaded so to keep everything in sync I prob should delete the files that are downloaded and start over again, what would be the file I need to delete.
As of this moment the dock is not responding although it says it's downloading.
I have shut down the unit and the dock and wait for your suggestions so as not to screw up the whole procedure.
Thanks

Hey Mark,
I've read the last 20 or so pages, hoping someone has had the same problem as me but my problem seems to be unique.
I recently purchased the TND-720, and can't seem to get Junction-view with Lane Assist working (as per page 35 of the user manual). I've talked three times to the tech support department but haven't made any progress, only told that the unit is working as it should be and the junction-view with lane assist only works on interstate highways (which it hasn't for me on any highway, interstate or not) and only works in 3d view (which it doesn't work in any view). I just started in the industry and wanted the best GPS I could get, that's why I went with the 720, but with Junction-view and Lane Assist not working as it should, I'm desperate.
A seperate issue, I've tried the "Device Diagnostic & Repair" option and the first time I ran it, it found an issue with 3 files, and "repaired" them. Every time I've ran it since, its found an issue with "settings.ini" file and "repaired" it each time.
Also, as a suggestion, Rand McNally should post on it's website the most current dock version, software version, and map version so customers can verify our device's and software are up to date.
Thanks in advance for any help. -

If you are computer savvy, connect your TND to the computer, close the Dock and look for the TND as an external drive. On the TND look under NaviMaps and at the top of the list you should see a file 7_jvi.bin. It should be about 157,411 KB.
Do not worry about the settings.ini needing repair. It is a small update issue that does not affect the file.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks,

I prefer to run the GPS in "heading up", so I figured the suggestion that it only works in 3D mode was bogus.
I found the file "7_jvi.bin" where you said it should be, and it is the same size (157,144KB).
This is what all my "junction view" views look like, even on interstate highways. As you can see, there is no lane assist, as in page 35 of the manual (this pic is on HWY QEW in Ontario, but the same style screen comes up for all junctions US and CAN).
Thanks, -
If a user off this thread sees a Lane Assist, please so kind as to post where.
But, you seeing the correct screen for a Junction View.
Thanks,
