Ok. Any way to move the addresses and mileages from the 500 to the 720?

I'm going to have to post some pics of where my 500 is mounted and how my 720 won't fit anywhere on the windshield. It is way too big, for this old truck cab. I'm going to need to fab up something different.

As with any mobile device you have limited internal memory. The TND is limited to 4gb and the RV models are limited to 8gb (travel video's).

If you place non-TND files on the TND you are limiting yourself to future updates that may need that space.

As with any DOS/MS device you have to have free the space for a file before you can overwrite it. For instance.. You have a file that is 2mb. The Dock is trying to update it. If you place non-TND files on the TND and have less than 2mb available in storage the Dock will not be able to copy the new file over.

The external SD slot is for future use and the TND will not see it as available memory if you place an SD card in it.

Also, any Non-TND files on the TND are subject to be viewed if you return your TND for an RMA. I will not go into the legal issues associated with that.

So, from the standpoint of placing Non-TND files on the TND. Do not.

    Thanks,
    Mark

The file you found, that didn't belong there was there from the factory. I've been seeing some kind of warning ever since I plugged it in, the first time to get the updates. I just ignored it as I don't have enough computer knowledge to know what that stuff is.

Again, thank you for moving those files for me. It is weird, though, to watch my computer open and close files, without doing it myself.

You might mount it on the dash front itself. Just have to make sure you have a hole for the power cord.

    Thanks,

If possible I would like to log back in and get a copy of the folder so I can send it up to Rand. It should not be there.

    Thanks,
    Mark
