Still would like to know the address. If the Map data set has it as a dirt road and not a paved road and it is indeed a paved road the map data set needs to be corrected.

    Thanks,
    mark

Found a problem when running my first hazmat load with the 720. Was running from Houston TX to Auburndale FL. So I entered it in the 720 as a hazmat load and to my surprise it added approx. 270 miles to my route! Needless to say I switched the hazmat off. So I just ran without it and found the only obstacle was a tunnel in Mobile AL. Just followed the hazmat detour signs wich added only about 5-10 miles, not 270. Also on the same run it wanted me to take an extra 130 miles or so of non-interstate road in Florida to save about 4 miles , just stayed on I-10 all the way to I-75 instead.

The first item the detour must have not been in the map data set. I have submitted it back to Rand to have them look at it.

The second item I need to know your start/stop locations please.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Sometimes but not always your second issue can be solved by getting on a primary road and forcing a reroute. It's done that to me as well anx sometimes forcing a reroute works. Also check your route settings- can go a long way to fixing route calculation problems. Just setting use freeways- avoid small roads has made a world of difference for me.

I saw a similar post on this but not quite the same issue. I just got my TND 720, version 12.4.2364.1912 with the Rand McNally Traffic Receiver. First of all, the best truck navigation I've ever had!

My issue is when the traffic receiver is searching and doesn't get a signal after a while, it look like it just turns itself off. The traffic icon disappears from the map, and the receiver status on Preferences says its unplugged or unpowered (which it's not). So I pull the plug out of the power socket, plug it back in and it goes back to searching. Doesn't seem to do this when it locks onto a signal, but only when it's been searching for a few minutes.

Is this a software issue or could I have gotten a bad receiver?
