I use a 3rd party E-mail service to gather my E-Mails from different servers... I had to actually go to G-mail to find it. It has tossed it into the spam folder.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I had 3 days of bliss with my new TND 700. The orange power button at the top pushed in and wouldn't power off or back on (after letting the battery die). I tried to reset with no success. I tried to make contact using a jewelers screwdriver with out success. I contacted Rand and they are in the process of sending me a pre-paid envelope to return it. Then they will send me a replacement. It will probably be a month before my schedule and the mail (back and forth)have this resolved. The docking software worked fine. I liked the split screen with map (hi-res) and directions. I am not happy with having to wait for a replacement.
I started to look at the Co-Pilot software for my laptop and some other alternatives. Had to rely on Qualcom directions through the back roads and towns of GA today. Not a good scenario but definitely good dues to pay for a new guy like me.

Anyone have experience with the ALK and/or Co-Pilot products?

Wow! Nirvana. I have just experienced the same issue with my 700. I called support, and they state that I was the first that they heard of this issue with the power button getting stuck. I also tried to pry the button back out, but it appears that the contact under the button is stuck, and just prying the orange plastic button up did nothing. Of course I am on the West coast of a X/C trip and it pains me that I have become so addicted to this little device, that I hate to have to travel back without it. In any event hopefully, this doesn't turn out to be a design flaw, and the next unit performs better.
