They could also write a script that would search for certain features. IE, tractor trailers, roads of "X" size or traffic patterns.

And not all businesses are "front door". I can believe fire address. I have had my 510 take me to industrial complexes with suites numbering 10-15 and it will bring me to the drive way only.

That's understandable as most folks would be looking for that. But remember that you're marketing THIS product to those of us who are not welcome at the 'front' door.

Mark, maybe you could ask for and collect users POI's that they save to assist in the dock situation. As an interim, I always do a google map of the address to see where I have to go and how to get there and the layout. Helps in the situational awareness aspect.

P.S. The new mount is making my life sooo much better. THANK YOU!

Rand does not control the NavTeq DB. We buy it under license like all other GPS companies. If we find any errors we have to submit tickets to NavTeq to correct. How long they take to correct is usually about a year.

I understand the concern here. We can debate this all year. I am attaching a link to NavTeq.

I am not bailing out. But, what seems easy would be a massive project.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Your TND should be delivered to the address you provided today. 1/7.

Your RMA # should have been - (12122627602)

    Thanks,
    Mark

I had time today so I hooked up my 510 to the dock. I now see a map update available. I also see in the top right of the dock where it says I am a LTM subscriber. I did fill out and send in the form a while back.

I am glad to see they got it and I have LTM now, but I am curious. I thought I was to receive an email or something with a code. I have not gotten anything from Rand. Considering anything is possible, should something get messed up and one day it says I don't have a LTM subscription. How will I prove it?

If you send in a form they put you in a DB which the Dock sees that you are a LTM customer.

If you buy them online then they send you a code to unlock and access the update and then you are put in the LTM's DB and the next mapset update you will see automatically.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Hey mark, this is my first post on TR. I figured what better time to post something than now. I bought this TND720 not even 72 hours ago. Wtf is going on with this thing? [IMG]

Ok, so obviously I can't post the picture from my iPhone. I shot you an email with the picture attached, so hopefully I'll hear from you soon. Thanks in advance, sir.
