What is the serial number off the back? The only models supported for LTM's currently are the 510/710/720. Only if you had LTM's on prior models will they be handled differently.
If you got a 510/710 then you don't need to have a purchase receipt to buy LTM's. They are in the Rand Store on the website.
Thanks,
Mark

Mark, just purchased a 720 with life time updates and a 2 year extended warranty for under $400.00, out the door! Thanks for answering all my "pre-sale" questions. You helped a great deal.
Mark Kling Thanks this. -
Sorry,,
thanks,
Mark -
so there is nothing I can do to use it with the old map even? is it just garbage?
-
Simply a "heads up". It has to be there as part of the licensing agreement.
Thanks,
Mark -
the problem is I click close on the warning window and it never closes and it takes up the whole screen. so after I turn the unit on it takes about 2 min for the warning window to come up and it needs to be turned off and on again to get rid of the warning window then after 2 min it comes back again
-
the waning window says
MAP DATABASE ERROR
The license for the selected map database is invalid or has expired. please turn the unit off and on. if this repeats, please contact support. -
What I suspect is that you got a sold was a Test unit. They run with Demo lic's that expire.
E-Mail me in regards to this. With the serial number in the subject line, your name and address somewhere in the body.
Thanks,
