On my 500 after some time of sitting in the hot sunny windshield, the unit has warped enough so that it no longer fits in its cradle. My suggestion to RM to correct this problem is to simply change the color of the unit to a lighter color. Darker colors retain a lot more heat than lighter ones and warp with age easier.

 

forgive me if this has already been answered but didnt have time to go through 556 pages lol, I recently bought the 720 and have a problem, on my 710 (which went kaput on me) it had community ratings for all the truck stops (which i actually paid attention to) those came the first time i updated the gps, now on the 720 i dont have ANY ratings and i cant get them installed or cant figure out how, anyone else have this problem? thanks for any help.

 

When I bought my 720, it came with a Coupon for Free Lifetime Maps, I sent it out.
How long does it take to get something back from them?

 

It should take about 10 days and next time you log your TND into your computer and dock it, it will update it when you go to that portion of the dock.

 

That might be it then.

Thx Mark . The truck tools and pref/ routing looks normal to me. I recently routed over 580 on 2 different sections:
1) along the section it shares with I80 in Richmond/Oakland and,
2) east of 680. She never said "boo". And I never changed anything so I guess it got fixed.
But later that day I went to pick at a place on Grant ave in San Lorenzo. Getting there no probs but getting out the same way I came in? Samantha started freaking out and screaming "Danger Will Robinson!!" Not only did she get my name wrong but she tried to route me down residential streets in order to get off Grant! (seriously) Thankfully, common sense prevailed with this human and I simply went out the same way I came in.
We must never give in to the machines!
