since you know what a CSV file is.

try changing the db file to a straight txt or csv file extension and then import it into excel as a csv text

That's where I would be headed with it.

    Ya, tried that, no-go.

I'm wondering if RM modified the SQLite format and that's why the ODBC connection fails.

don't know. Never played that far into the TND yet. You'd have to send me your file to play with.

My dock did the same thing.. I remember googling the problem, and if I remember right, i just reinstalled dock, clicked to open it, and left the computer be for a bit and it finally started up.

MNdriver, I opened the file in OpenOffice, and it's not in text, it has all the higher number ascii characters showing up, most likely a compression of some sort.

    windsmith Thanks this.

do you have .net framework 3.5 installed and service packs?

If you do you might have to turn on this service. E-Mail me for the procedure.

    thanks,
    Mark

    E-Mail me the file - RM/User/Truck.db

    Thanks,
    Mark

3.5 is not showing up in my add/remove programs list, but dock WAS working and I never removed any .net components. I'll download 3.5 and service packs and try again.

I'm able to access the tables now; I had misconfigured the ODBC data source. PM with where to email the file and I'll send it. I should be able to configure a report to get what I need. I'm assuming that the date values are standard? Are the distance values in feet, or a different unit?

Thanks, I was working from that document - my problem was that I had selected the wrong version of SQLite when I set up the ODBC connection.

I'll try the .net framework first, then I may take advantage of that offer if that doesn't work.

    Mark Kling Thanks this.
