My old one did that too. Bad internal speaker. But the audio output jack worked just fine when connected to the aux input on the radio.

    Mine is weirder than that..
Jack does not work and since it quit the regular speaker started working again for a few days and quit again...

    Anyway...
I70 EB out of St Louis until you get to the 57 South.
    The 720 says Idianapolis.

Last map update changed the order of the address inputs (city, street #, street vs city, street, street #). Seemed odd at first, but I like it -- less confusing when you have a street named something like "E 300 W" because the 'house' number limits the available street options.

I may have forgotten to change a setting to completely turn off hos, but I do have an announcement every 10 hours telling me my DOT break has been met (annoying while driving since the screen stays on the dialogue box until you close it). Even if I can turn it off, it would be nice if it automatically closed the notice after 10sec or so like it does with speed limit change warnings.

Preferences/general/update driver status - change to main menu buttons.

main screen/truck tools/timers/ reset to default the driving sessions/driving hours/total day hours/total week hours.

    Thanks,
    Mark

San Antonio, TX to 4700 Creek Rd, Cincinnati, OH

Customer is 1.5 miles off I-71, but it keeps routing me from I-75 -- adding 10-15 city miles.

Once in route. Map screen, bottom left tap on the Cog.

look at the Avoid List, bottom row, middle. Make sure you do not have I-71 avoided.

Also changing to Allow freeways instead of Preferred will Keep you on I-71.

    Allow Freeways - I 71
    Prefer Freeways - I 75

I have to look into this.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Any hope for this? (audio warning for user-defined absolute speed warning). Even a big dialogue box would be nice -- mine just turns the speed limit circle red. And is it possible to have both absolute & relative maximum warnings active concurrently? EG 5mph over limit and/or 74mph

Having used these units for almost 3 yrs a 700 which is in my wife's truck and a 720 in my truck I have come to the conclusion that RM spends too much time and effort on adding bells and whistles rather than making the units better for the normal user. Maps are at least 2yrs old, lots of wrong speed limits in smaller towns and some of the routing I have been getting is just ridiculous. I work mostly in western US and Canada and maybe all the emphasis is placed on the eastern part of the country. You would think being a TRUCK GPS it would route you down major roads in the city and not narrow non truck friendly streets, just bizarre if you ask me. I don't need a lot of the bells and whistles but would like a gps that is up to date with the right information descent truck routing and accurate verbal communication but at this time RM is not living up to my expectations but I doubt there are any other units out there,at this price point that are any better until they come out with an actual truck only gps.

Map datum is provided by NavTeq. While I am not happy with the information either, put the blame where the blame is due.

Go to ANY GPS manufacturer, you'll see the same thing. NavTeq.

What any GPS manufacturer does with that data is another thing. Of all the GPS's, I use the RM because of the simple fact it matches the RM Motor Carrier Atlas I keep behind the seat of my truck.
