I71 northbound in KY around mm49 -- it says to keep left (or right -- can't remember) to stay on 71. There isn't an exit or split in sight.

Just before the rest area is probably it -- interstate goes from normal divided to super divided (not worth noting as it causes nothing but confusion on a rainy night)

    Mark Kling Thanks this.

I95, Florida, Exit 325 T/A... TND 720 directs an 11 mile off interstate route, even as you turn into the fuel island

Good day. I have been using my TND 720 for some time. I have been getting wierd routing issues. for example, I put in a route /Comparision route from Salt lake City, UT
to Sparks, NV. What I got was surprising.

    i was given the following.

Route 1 was 1226 miles. Basically 15 north, to 84 to 205, down 99s to 80e to Sparks.
Route 2 was 1501 miles. Basically 15 south to 210w to 5 north to 80e to sparks.

What happened to simply going across I80 west to sparks which is about 500 miles???

GPS is set for fastest route, prefer freeways, tollways allowed, no Hazmat load

Interestingly, I had problems routing to the TA in Ontario, CA Every time I would route to this location, the GPS would route several miles past the exit, turn around and then go to the destination. i was told to change the gps to refer prefer freeways and the routing seem to fix these problems.

Now, I did a comparison route to Ontario, and this what I got.

Route 1 671 miles Route I would take because miles are pretty much on the mark.
Route 2 1792 miles????????? Basically, I15N to I84W to Portland to I5S to I10e to destination.

Something is seriously wrong here?? Why did the GPS totally avoid I-80w to US93s or I80w to US 395s in Nevada????

    Any ideas??

I have been finding issues like that due to construction.

I believe the last map and software update royally screwed up the routing as I have also been given crazy routing, good thing I know where I am going so don't have to depend on the unit lol.
At this moment I have a hard time trusting my 720,my wife's 700 did not get the new maps yet and I prob won't install it if it does offer it on the dock. I think they better get a fix out real soon before users start getting real pissed off.
Wonder if there is a way to go back to previous map set and routing????

I-95 x 329. I see that odd looping in Car/allow/prefer modes. I will report to GIS.

    Thanks,
    Mark
