Well it worked fine on my 510. And I never said it was easy. I've chased bad code and it sucks. Thats one of the reasons I left the IT field. I was decent at code just hated it with a passion.

After I made that post I started looking at my 720. Did the last update take the antenna traffic out? My little green arrow for traffic never went out but I was in a city that does not have the broadcast traffic. So either its wifi traffic only now or my antenna never went to sleep.

It is more of a firmware issue. Cannot go into too much detail about it.

PM me,,, a setting was changed and I can tell you wish to set it back too.

    Thanks,
    mark

I dare say the gps directions need a correction. Its so bad the VA DOT put a sign up.

Enon Church rd/va-746 to ruffin mills rd is restricted no trucks. Coming from VA-10 just outside Hopewell, Va

I want to thank you too, you helped out when I lost my sound on the 510 I have, I use it now in my car, and it is the backup for the 720 I use in the truck. Thanks again Mark

Hi Mark I have a 510 version 3.55.2780.1540 and I wanted to offer an exit number correction. Going north on hwy 400 in Ontario Canada I needed to make a delivery in Alliston On. My 510 got me there fine but it told me to take exit number 89 for hwy 89 but the exit number is in fact exit 75 for hwy 89. Just thought I would pass this on to you. Take care.

I purchased a 720 back in July and have been very pleased with it until last week. I'm on the road 25 days out of the month and have come to rely on this GPS. Now I am VERY frustrated. On my way to my last stop last week, the screen on the 720 just went out, like it had lost the charge. Thinking it was an issue with the car adapter, I plugged it in that night in the hotel. It worked for a while the next morning then faded to squiggly lines and went off again. I contacted Rand McNally on Friday and was told they would send me out a new charger. I was to receive an email clarifying this information. as well as email on how to return the unit for repair if that didn't fix the problem. I have received nothing and am scheduled back out to Ohio tomorrow, then on to Montana, etc. I have reset the unit and am wondering if you have any other suggestions? I REALLY need this unit operable, like NOW!

TND are GPS with nice features but poor quality build, if you want a good one just buy a Garmin, you wont be disappointed.
