You bought it and only had it for 10 days, and Pilot refused to exchange it with a receipt? Pilot should have honored the exchange for I believe for 30 days. E-mail me with the details on which Pilot and the info on your receipt.

Has Rand Support send you the RMA yet?

    Thanks,
    Mark

The newer TND's have the USB port on the left side now, but turned 180 degrees. The 90 Degree bend would have placed the DC cord facing the driver, so Rand went with a straight USB cable.

    Thanks,
    Mark

The TND that got a "insert SD Card" error was a T5C? It would have been a 5" with the SD slot on the side being empty?

If it was the above I could have gotten you running with a few simple folder deletions and updating again on the TND Dock.

Let me know how your replacement works.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Rand is very aware of how you in the trucking industy operate. It is company policy at this time. A lot of companies will operate on the same theory. RMA, and once the item is received, ship out a replacement.

Rand is looking at other options to try to get you up and running again while on the road.

I have posted before.... when you get your TND, do a FULL backup. or if you are computer savvy, then simply copy ALL the files and folders onto your computer.

Reason being, I can send you the SD Flash files to get you up and running again and with the files on your computer we can just copy them back over to the TND. The NaviMaps is the only file I cannot send you due to its size, So by doing a FULL backup it will copy the NaviMaps over to your computer and I know where it copies them or we can do a restore with only the minimum of files added back to the TND, so the TND Dock will restore.

The restore function simply copies your user folders over to your computer if you do not do a full backup.

    Thanks,
    Mark

On your TND you went from not to bad to oops... now it is broke.

The first error you got was an easy fix. The second one you got "system files missing" could lead to several different paths.

Connect your TND to your computer, close the TND Dock, Go to your start menu and click on (my) computer and look for the external drive that should show IntelliRoute. Click on that drive and tell me what you see.

If you see ASCII characters like squares and other odd symbols then the TND needs to be reflashed. Several options there. I can mail you SD Card needed even if you are on the road. This take about 30 minutes.

If you can still read the folder names you may have deleted too many folders and I can send you the folders to replace them. Any file I send you will be compressed, so you will need a way to uncompress them.

    Let me know..

    Thanks,
    Mark

ok here are the folders i deleted

In the Navi Folder you can delete the Bin, Layouts, Logs, and Data folders and the TND Dock will rebuild them.

In the RM folder you can delete the Data Folder and the TND Dock will rebuild it.

Those are the only folders i deleted and then it said system file missing. It did not rebuild them as stated in your post. Maybe i deleted them in the wrong place?

    Do you see a folder Navi\user ?

In that folder you should have a file called Navigation.lic

    Thanks,
    Mark
