I have reported that same issue with us 720 and wa 12 weeks ago but never got an answer and I am also finding dumbars routing out west here and am hoping it gets cleared up soon before I decide to switch to the competition, which I really don't want to do as I like the Rand units except for the routing issues.

    GIS notes for the day:

I35nb in Texas has an erronious & unneccessary lane assist at mm59 (says keep right to stay on -- right where there is a rest area off ramp to the right).

155nb through Tyler, TX is restricted for trucks -- need to use 323 loop.

79nb throught Palestine, TX is restricted for trucks -- need to use 256 loop

The routing algorithm could use some tweaking. I suggested it should have a third choice. Fastest ( ONLY looks at eta) balanced (balance between time and miles) and shortest (ONLY looks at miles).

The current fastest acts more to me like a balanced because many times I find routes that might be 20 miles further but are 20 minutes faster because it's all interstate as opposed to us highways etc.

On a complete side topic does anyone actually use the elevation feature? I can't ever remember saying " I wonder how high I am right now." I see it as useless CPU cycles that could be put to better uses.

It's useful at night to give cues to trim your power and the gear you're running in.

Some product has to be below certain elevations's.

As far as CPU cycles, it takes none. It is all part of the Lat/Long breakdown.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I did submit internal tickets, but unless someone would like an answer I don't track them to see what they found. If you would like a response, then let me know and I will PM you then internal ticket for reference.

    Thanks,
    Mark
