This will involve cleaning of the registy. If you are computer savvy I can tell you how. If not, do not touch the registry. You could pay a computer shop to clean it for you. About $200. I am free.

There really is not a way to do a restore on the TND. You can reload older files, but what we need to do is to start from the beginning to get your TND and computer both back up and running.

If you are not sure of my intentions, you can ask a Mod on this site called Bullhaulerswife.

I really don't care what you have on your computer, what I care about is getting the Dock reloaded again.

    Thanks,
    Mark

PLease note - Update to version 3.56.2922. This is now including map attribution updates. This is a single file and not the entire Map database. It is about a 1.25mb file.

    Thanks,
    mark

    Corrected.

After reading your last post I took my gps over to a friends house and it all downloaded in 10 minutes. I guess it was my computer the whole time. As of right now it's up to date and all repaired. Thanks for all your help.

But that still leaves your computer not 100% with the Dock not installing. Another hint, make sure you have any Anti-Virus's disabled.

    Thanks,
    Mark

My tnd 500 constantly says no gps signal lately. It's been in same trk same location for over a year. I run from kansas city to cheyenne and down to denver and back to kansas city. About 50-60% of the time it has no gps signal. Yes i check for updates about once per month. Started out only doing it occasionally but is doing it more and more as time goes on. Any help would be appreciated. Thx

What is the model number on the back? Sounds like the internal GPS receiver is bad. A software update will not correct that.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Not finding it. I called Flying J and all four locations are still up and running in QC. Anymore information on your end? Town/road?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Mark does the newest models have better memory? We have a 710 and it freezes sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. We have to turn it off and on about 2-3 times to get it to calculate the route again. As you can imagine that is not ideal when you need directions now. We have considered the newest model, but wonder if it will be different. What is the newest model?

The 520 LM or 720 LM is the newest. The freezing up probably isn't due to memory issues either. Probably a bad file.
